COMINGS AND GOINGS From Monday's DaHy- Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Yelick's guests, Mrs. James I'tacek and dauehter, Certrude. and Stanley Mareelak, Jr.. of Chicago. Illinois left for their home Saturday. They spent three week3 in Plattsmouth. Planning to leave tomorrow fol lowing a brief visit in this city are Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Gauthier of Seattle. Washington. They were guests of Mrs. G. A. Gauthier's par ents, Mr. and Irs. John Hatt and family. Misses Eleanor and Lorene Simon of Oakland. California are In Platts mouth and Omaha visiting with their many relatives and menus. in Plattsmouth they visited with their grandmother, Mrs. Frank Lipert, and other relatives. They are daughters of Mr. and Mrs. William Simon. Mrs. George K. Ilctrick has as her guests at this time her two sisters, Mrs. It. E. McCleish of Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Louie Van Loo of Florence, Colorado. All three listers were called to Concordia. Kan sas to attend the funeral of their sister, Miss Ethel Vignery recently. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Petersen and daughter, Norma Jean of Havelock were guests of Mr. Petersen's mother, Mrs. L. II. Petersen and daughter, Mary, Sunday. Norma Jean remained in Plattsmouth where she intends to spend the week with her cousin, Mrs. Newton Sullivan and family. Miss Nadine Naeve, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Naeve, returned last week from Colorado, where she has spent two weeks. She was in Denver and also spent some time in Este3 Park. They anti cipate visiting about two weeks on the west coast. They will visit rel atives and former Plattsmouth friends who are now settled in Cali fornia. From Wednesday's Pally Mr. and Mrs. August Kopp return ed to this city Monday following a brief period spent in Benkelman, Ne braska, where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Maddox, the lat ter their daughter. A California guest in Nebraska and Missouri is Mrs. Robert Slatinsky, whospent last week in Omaha with her husband's relatives and is spend ing this week in Plattsmouth. She is here with her sister-in-law, Miss Rita Slatinsky of Sedalia, Missouri. Here they are guests cf the Frank Slatinsky family, Julius Pitz family, and Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Janda. Miss Josephine Rys. timekeeper in the office of the Burlington shops, left this evening for the northwest, where she intends to spend the ma jor portion of her vacation. Her itinerary includes Oregon. California, Wyoming and a few other states. IMPROVE TELEPHONE BUILDING The appearance of the Lincoln Telephone & Telegraph Co. build ing on North Cth street, has been greatly improved. The trimmings of the building have been made in a very, vivid green that makes it out standing in the business places of that part of the city.
