The second annual W. P. A. Recre ation camp for boys of this area will be held at Camp Harding, Louisville, starting Friday. May 31 and con tinuing until after the breakfast hour Thursday, June 6. ; Camp Harding, which has exten sive buildings and accommodations, is owned by the -Omaha Council of Camp Fire Girls. It was turned over last year for a similar W. P. A. Recre ation camp that was largely attend ed. This year's camp committee is composed of Ross Nichols, Louisville, chairman; Supt. G. M. Corum, Louis ville, treasurer; Clement L. Landis, Nebraska City; Dr., W. J. Snyder, Louisville, and Clyde Worrell. Wa-hoo. Every camp activity will be care fully guided by W. P. A. trained Recreation supervisors. Among those present will be Harold 'Bunker' Hill, G. M. Corum, Gus Anderson, Gilbert Ray and 'Shy' Champlin, with 'Bill' Thomas as camp director. The total camp7 lee' lor the week is $4.50 per boy enrolled. Among the special events will be archery, horseshoe and other tour naments. The swimming meet and canoe races are highlights in camp, I as are also the track and field meet. Parents are invited to the outdoor Chapel service Sunday and to help the boys eat a big chicken dinner for which guests will pay 35c. Four from Here Enrolled At present four boys 'from here are enrolled and it Is expected there : i will be one or two more before time the camp opens with the noon meal Friday. They are: Dickie Duxbury, Bobbie Cappell, Bryce Hudson and Robert Woods. The day starts with reveille and calisthenics at 6:45 and ends with taps at 9:45. The main lodge with fireplace houses the dining room, well equip ped kitchen, auditorium, camp store and craft shop. There are eight screened cabins with single cots and mattresses. The bath house has hot and cold showers and sanitary toilets. Boys between ten and fifteen years of age may attend. Ten such camps are to be held over the state this summer under direction of W. E. Thomas, a skilled camp man. Eight of these will be for boys and two for girls. ACCEPTS POSITION Miss Wilma Swatek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Swatek and a 1940 Plattsmouth high school grad uate, is now employed in the local office of the Retail Merchants' Credit Bureau. Miss Swatek began duty last week. She succeeds Miss Anne Hassler, who is now an accountant for the II. M. Soennichsen Co. Miss Hassler succeeds the late Peter Han sen, who died last week.
