SUFFERS HEART ATTACK From Yednesday's Dally This morning at an early hour, W. E. Rusk, who was assisting in the cleaning up at the Donat Tavern at Fourth and Main streets, was stricken with a sudden heart attack. The patient was, in very critical con dition for some time until Dr. W. S. Eaton arrived and gave Mr. Rusk treatment, he later being able to be taken to his home in the west part of he city. ATTEND ASSISTANCE MEETING Tuesday Miss Helen Porter, coun ty assistance director, Paul Vander voort, L. L. Laase, Mrs. Elmer Sund strom. were at Lincoln. Armstrong, of Auburn, republican candidate for congress, is making a very.' active campaign for the nomination, he has traveled over the entire district and is meeting RETURNS TO SCHOOL Miss Lois Giles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Giles of this city, who has been home for the. four day Easter holiday, returned Monday to her school at O'N'cill. Miss Giles is the with a very favorable response. Mr. home economics teacher at the O'Neill Armstrong has lived all his life in southeastern Nebraska, is well known to a great number of voters there and is expected to run strong in that territory. If nominated he can be expected to make a vigorous campaign for the election in November. VISITING RELATIVES HERE . An Omaha girl who is vacationing with relatives in this city is Miss Verona Propst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Jerabek, Omaha. She has her grandmother, Mrs. Eleanor Pro haska; two uncles, Fred and Frank Prohaska; two aunts, Mrs. Emil Lorenz and Miss Rose Prohaska who reside here. At present she is stay ing with her grandmother. .. school and has had a very success ful year in her work. RETURN FROM THE WEST Mr. and ' Mrs. Clyde Rosborough, who. have been visiting at Alliance for the week end, returned home Sunday afternoon. They found trav eling bad with a snow and sleet s'.ovm making it hard to get through, it delaying them a day on their return. TAKEN TO HOSPITAL Harry Walters or this city is at the Clarkson hospital a.t Omaha where he will undergo an operation. It is jhoped he soon may be able to return home to this city. RETURNS FROM HOSPITAL From Wednesday's Darty Mrs. Everett Spangler, Murray lady who is a daughter of Mrs. F. W. Nolting, Plattsmout'., returued from the Clurkson hospital. Omaha, last evening. On hor retura home she was accompanied by her husband, who took her to the family home in Murray. Her condition is said to ba much better. JERRY PUCELIK HOME Jerry, six-year-old son of Dr. and Mrs. L. S. Pucelik, who was at the St. Catherine's hospital over two weeks, was able to return home Tues day. Among those accompanying him home included his aunt, Miss Olsra Pucelik, Omaha resident who will remain .here for a few days caring for him. RETURN FROM ST. EDWARD' Mr. and Mrs. II. A. Schneider, who have been visiting at St. Edward, Nebraska, over Easter with, their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bnrdic and family, have returned home.
