Mc Canghey. pastor of the church offi ciated at the services. The inter ment was at the East Union ceme tery. The deceased lady had been ill for the past five weeks, the last few days her condition offering but little hope of her recovery. She was born July 2. lS.r9. at Gallipolis, Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Strait. She moved to Hamburg, Iowa, in 1572 and was married to John McCarrol 1 at Nebraska City in 1891. Mr. McCarroll died at their farm home near Union August 22, 1929. She was a member of the Methodist church at Union and the Royal Neighbors ot America. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Louis Mougey, of Union, at whose home she had resided, and where she died Tuesday night; three children preceded her in death, Mrs. Fanny McQuinn, Mrs. Angie Everett and nn infant daughter. Near rel atives surviving include John Mc Quinn and Richard Mougey. HAS SERIOUS OPERATION Little Darlene Helsing, 4 -year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Helsing, who underwent a double mastoid operation Friday of last week at the Methodist hospital in Omaha, i3 getting along nicely at this time. The operation is the result of the after effects of the serious ill ness she had last summer. Her mother is staying in Omaha to be I with her as much as possible. Armstrong, member of the Cass county committee in charge of the corn sealing program released the following statement up to February 5th, 1940: 797 cribs have been sealed consisting of a total of 642,073 bushels with a value of approximate ly $348,500. Farmers can still seal their corn but all 'foan documents pertaining to sealing must be com pleted by April 1st. 1940.
