George Goolsby departed Wednesday for their home at Dallas, S. D. Airs. Christ Jorn left Wednes day morning for Omaha, where she will visit a few days. Cldyc Lum spent a part of the week in Kansas City attending the Lumberman's convention. Airs. Will Leslie arrived Tues day evening from Caldwell, Ida ho for a visit to her mother and sister. Messrs. Lucas, Jones and Ilum j plirey were delegates to the | Sunday School convention at I lumboldt. Air. and Mrs. Bert O'Hara are i ntertaining the former's sister and cousin, who arrived Saturday from Falls City. Bruce Nedrow, wife and little son came home from Omaha on 1 burs lay. Their little daughtei Beulah, who is in the hospital is improving slowly. Little Beulah Nedrow was remembered Saturday by her many fiiends in the form of a postal shower in honor of her thirteenth bitrhday. Lee Johnson traded the Verdon mill last week to Mr. Griffiths for a large tract of land near Haigler Nebraska. Mr. Johnson and fam ily left Thursday for their new home. Their many friends wish them success. The Kensington club gave a | farewell party at the home of Mr. : and Mrs. G. 1). Knapp Tuesday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. i Roy Johnson, who departed the latter part of the week for their new home at Haigler, Neb. Humboldt. Miss Nina Snow came home j from Dawson Friday. Osborn of Los Angeles, Calif, are guests at the home of their nciee, Mrs. John Power Sr. Grandma Leatherman, returned Thursday from a visit with her grand daughter, Mrs. Maud Duen za, in Omaha. Ralph Buerstetta of Tecumseh spent the latter part of the week with his brother Ambrose Buer stetta and family. Wednesday, Mrs. Pearl Gilmore returned to her home in this city alter a lew days visit with rel atives in Dawson. Joseph Raper accompanied by his sons, Andrew and Charles Irom Pawme county were Hum boldt visitors Saturday. Aliss Hazel Grinstead returned to her home in Salem, Wednesday utter spending a few days with her aunt, Mrs. R. L. Huff. O. A. Cooper and wife left, Wet nesday for Stella where they took tlie train for Omaha, to attend the Ak-Sar-Ren and visit relatives. Mrs- John Frey berg and chil dren returned Wednesday to their home in Falls City after a weeks visit with Humboldt rela tives. ■Mrs. Lulu Smith and little daughter of Talmage, came to town Thursday to spend a short time with her father. Arnold Shuetz daughter Miss Maggie who has been receiv ing medical treatment in a hospitf in Lincoln, came down from that still in poor health and was ac companied by Miss Ethel Hrock way, a trained nurse. Ohio Tom Hears went to Craig Ho. Sat. to visit relatives. John Yocum spent Sunday with his daughter and family. William Iluotner and wife went to Kansas City last week. Mrs. < 'has. Eli Hillman and wife came in from Lebanon, Kas., to attend the Shaffer reunion and to visit with friends. Albert Caller and wife went to Kansas City last week to consult with doctors in regard to their in valid child. Mrs. Fannie Jones of Iowa vis ited with her cousins Joe and Wa lace Cully and Mrs. O. H. Prich ard last week. Rev. Plough and family E. T. Peek, Daisy and Edith Peek and Nellie Knisely left Saturday morn ing to attend the district meeting in session this week. Dr. Chas. Shoffer and fad famil left for Minnesota, S. Dakota and other points to visit with relatives of Mrs. Shaffer before they re turn to their home in Recdley, Ca Chester Stump and family left Monday for their new home in Hastings, their many friends did not like to see their departure, but what is our loss is Hastings gain. The reunion of the family of Frances Shaffer took place at the home of Frank Shaffer Friday. The day was fine and there were forty who partook of the excel lent dinner prepared, in the after | noon a picture was taken of the group by C. Yocum of Falls City The occasion was one that will be long remembered by all who were there. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Stump, were tendered a farewell party at the home of F. S. Lichty and wife last Saturday evening prior to their departure for Hastings Nebr The evening was most thoroughly enjoyed by all present.Nice re freshmentswere served.
