Stella relathi s received the an nouncement of the arrival of a son at the home of Mr. and Mrs. -Karl Swan of Malcomb, Neb. Grandma Shellen berger lias gone to get acquainted with the young man. Mrs. W. 1>. Ilryant and daughter, Miss May Hall, were called to Eure ka Springs last week by the serious illuess of their daughter and sister. Miss Grace Hall. They returned on Wednesday, thinking the patient much improved, but received word Saturday evening that she had died. Mrs. .John Hilien and Mrs. Bertha Weddle were Falls City visitors on Friday. Mrs. Elmer Uumbaugh left Thurs day for a short visit with friends in Auburn. Will Otto and mother accompanied Norman Weaver to Falls City a few days ago. George Coon of Salem purchased a Ford touring car of Walter Veacli one day last week. Mesdames C M. Helnzelroan and F. F. Diet rich were shopping in Falls City Thursday. Charles Harkendorff and family were guests of Will liasenyager and family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. McDormitt of Salem were the guests of Mrs. Eliza Goolsby, Sunday. Mrs. Lee Hart and Miss Cora Swisegood went to Stella the latter part of the week. H. 11. Fritz of Ohio township took die early morning train from here Friday fo Omaha. Frank Bennett and family mov ed into the Skinner property in the north part of town. The social given by the young ladies of the Christian church Satur day evening was a success. Walter Veacli and wife and Mrs. Evan Owens saw the play at the Gelding last Friday evening. Miss Kelley returned home from Falls City Thursday after spending a few days there with ffiends. Mr. and Mrs. liasenyager and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kelley made a pleasant trip to Falls City Wednesday Mrs. Raven eame over from Daw son Sunday for a visit with Mrs. Wallace McCullough and daughter, Roxy. .Mrs. McManus and children eame up from Falls City Saturday for a short, stay with .Mrs. Cornell and Mrs. Kok'er. Miss Miller returned to her home in Falls City Sunday after a very pleasant visit here with her cousin, Mrs. Quinton Stump. Mrs. Merle Helmick and little son, Harold, returned the latter pat of the week from an extended v isit vvitli relatives in Trenton. Neb. Clarence Stump met with quite an accident Friday evening while out riding with friends. He was standing up in the wagon when the team gave a violent jerk and threw Clarence out breaking his left arm just above the wrist. He was taken to Dr. Thomas’ office and the bone was set. He is getting along nicely at this writing. SHUBERT. Outer Sailor was over from Bara da Saturday. John Imler of Stella spent Sunday with home folks. Win. V Lord and daughter. Miss Gladys, of Lincoln, who have been the guests of friends here, returned home-' Wednesday. The play given by the senior class of the high school Saturday night was very good and was well attended. A neat sum of $33.00 was realized. Koy King purchased the dwelling house where Prof. Carr lives. He will remove it to his lots on Elm St., recently purchased of Mr. Fishburn. Mrs. J. L. Dal bey, Edith Hill, El der Murray and wife have been ap pointed delegates from the Christian Sunday School to be present at the convention held in Falls City this; week. RARADA. Martin were in the city one evening last week. Ralph Wheeler has been appointed census enumerator for North llarada. Ed Ludwig and family visited Sun day with Herman Ludwig and family. The Lilly brothers of Verdon sold their blacksmith shop on Main street, to R. J. Dunn and son. Henry Gerder and wife of Falls City spent several days at tlie farm last week with the children.
