sage Saturday informing him that
his brother, who is connected with
railroad work was killed in a wreck.
Maybellc Davis returned Sunday to
resume her studies in the state uni
versity, after spending a few days
with her parents, S. E. Davis and
wife.
Tom Mann, a former Humboldt
boy, who lias been holding a posi
tion as operator at Table Rock, has
been transfered to a simmilar posi
tion at Rulo.
Lou Segrist has leased from Dr
Gandy the lots joining the lumbei
yard on the west. He will erect a
shed, which will soon be filled with
supplies connected with the lumbei
business.
Lame back comes on suddenly and
is extremely painful, it is caused
by rheumatism of the muscles. Quick

Alla Gilbert returned to her school
work at York Monday, after spend
ing Thanksgiving with her parents.
The revivals closed at the M. R.
Clutreli Sunday night. There were
sixty-four conversions during the
meetings.
Roy Williams of tills city was mar
ried last Friday to a lady from Skid
more. Mo. They arrived in Rulo Sun
day and have gone to housekeeping
in Semour Coupe’s property.
Mac Vastine, wife and son.Wylie,
left last week to make their home
at Monte Vista. Col. While they
will he missed by their many friends
here, all wish them prosperity and
happiness in their new home.
Mr. and Mrs Allen came Saturday
night from Des Moines, Iowa to
visit relatives here. Monday morning
Mr. Allen died very suddenly. The
remains were taken back to New
York ny for bMrip1 Mr«
Allen was formerly Miss Ida Davis
of Rulo. Her many friends in this
city extend sympathy to the grief
stricken woman.

merchandise.

of the doctor's brother.
Mr. and Mrs. George Gray from
Plain City, Kas.. are visiting their
relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Moses Barr.
Mrs. Sarah Williamson and grand
daughter. Edna, returned from an
extended visit with relatives at Cam
bridge.
The Ladies Aid served Thanksgiv
ing supper at the Woodman hall on
the evening of the twenty-fifth. The
school children gave a short, ~ but
pleasing program.
