Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A McDon ald of Los Angeles, Cal., are the parents of a baby boy born to them on August 19th. They were former Rulo people. Mrs. Charles Tagney left Tuesday for her home at Sheridan, Wyoming, after a visit to her parents, Mr.and Mrs. Cronin. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bradford received cards this week, announcing the birth of Harry Will iam Bradford, August 13, 1909, and his weight was eight and one-half pounds. . Mr. French of the western part of the state visited Mr. and Mrs. Si May. Mr. French made Rulo his home about thirty-five years ago, but is now the owner of a large ranch. Uncle George Harris was taken to the hospital at the old soldiers home at Leavenworth. He has been help less for some time, and his good wife was unable to care for him, so lit; was removed to the hospital. John Liberty and Will Prater accom panied him to the hospital. On Wednesday of last week about twenty of Grandma May’s friends went to her home to tell her that they had come to help celebrate hci eighty-ninth birthday. A bountiful dinner was provided by the company, which was enjoyed to its fullest ex tent. Several nice- presents were brought to help grandma keep in mind the happy event. Also a lot of beautiful flowers were pre sented to her. Evans received the sad news of the death of a grand-child at Te cuntseh Sunday. The family left on the afternoon train to attend the fu neral which was held Monday. Mr.and Mrs.Clements, living north of town, have taken a little baby girl from the orphan’s home. This same old couple took a little hoy about a year and a half ago from the same place. Miss Verna Brown and little sis ter who have been spending the summer with their grandmother, left for their home at Kingfisher, OkL, Tuesday. They were accompanied as far as Kansas City by their un cle, Frank Brown. Mr. Nombalias loaded his house hold goods Monday and shipped them to Lincoln where they will make the! future home. Mr. and Mrs. Nonibal ias left Tuesday hut Florence and Alice remained and visited friends until the last of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Will Beaver of Table Lock were visiting his brother and family south of town, when their in fant child was taken suddenly ill with cholera-infantum, and was in a very dangerous condition for two weeks. It has recovered sufficiently that they returned home Ihe first of the week. John Hossack and daughters, Mrs. Neal Mulligan and Miss Nellie, and little grandson, Neal Mulligan of Falls City visited several days last week with his daughter, Mrs. E. Withee.
