All baking powders are white anil are sold in round cans with bright labels. They look alike, but in contents they are very dif ferent High grade baking powders are made of pure cream of tartar de rived from grapes. They are healthful and economical to use. Low grade baking powders are made of alum au astringent miner al acid. Before the Pure Food Law only a chemist could tell by analysis one from the other. But now baking powders have the ingredients printed on the back of the label. By reading ttie label the housekeeper knows the j ingredients and being careful of | the welfare of her household, avoids the alum kind of baking powder. Good baking powder is one of j the most useful things in the kit I chen- and there is a difference, * | For Sale—Brown Leghorn eggs tor hatching. See Major A Religious Author's Statement Rev.
