Jas. Scott , a well known resident of
this community , died very suddenly at
his homo northwest of town on Sunday
evening. Funeral services were held
from the Methodist church Tuesday
afternoon. Deceased is survived by a
wife and two daughters , Edna and Olive

Shrautrer and wife , and Everett Jones
drove over to Auburn Thursday , whcro

The services at the union re-

at the M. E. church were turned

evening in honor of the Anti-
Saloon victory in the city election.
The report from the second ward
came in while Prof. Erwin was
singing the "Holy City. " The
congregation could not suppress
ts feeling , but burst forth in
spontaneous applause , and joined
n singing the "Ilosannas" of the

wards. Immediately the meeting
was turned into a great jubilee
