An Artroclons Crime
The detail of Harry Grinstead
it Oklahoma City and his subsc-
l cnt burial from the home of
Mrs. John Gilligan in this city is
well remembered by our people-
While the body of Mr. Gmislead
was being prepared for burial by
D. D. Keavis the discovery was
made that it had been mutilated
by a post mortem. Inasmuch
as no permission was given for
such examination George Grin-
stead wrote the physicians at
Oklahoma City requesting a n
explanation. All Ihe doctors
denied an } * knowledge of the
matter , whereupon Mr. Grinstead
dispatched a messenger to Okla-
lioma City that the facts might
be ascertained. The lodge of
which Harry was a member has
taken the matter up and the
ghouls who perpetrated this re
volting crime are about to receive
merited punishment as the follow
ing extract from the Oklahoma
News shows :

time between 2 a. in and 3-10 : p.
m. when his body was shipped to
Falls City , Neb. , without the
knowledge of his relatives or his
brother Eagles in this city , under
whose auspices and directions hi *
body had been prepared for burial
and shipment.
There was no suspicion of any
thing wrong , when the body wsu
shipped from this city. Foui
days later a letter from Grin-
stead's brother in Falls City ,
notified the Eagles here thai
some human vulture had perform
ed an illegal autopsy.

Harry Grinstead. manager ol
the Gihigan bridge company , and
an Eagle in good standing at the
time of his death , was only sick
four days. He had yellow jaun
dice with complications , and Dr.
Hubbard , the Eagle's physician ,
who had the cac , ordered Grin-
stead sent to a hospital. Afonc
time his case was believed to be
yellow fever.
He was removed to Dr. Phe-
lan's hospital on W.Main St.after
a single day's illness , and Dr.
Darlington took charge of the
case because Dr. Hubbard was
obliged to leave town.
Three days later a consultation
of physicians was called and Drs.
Hubbard , Darlington , Seam.ui ,
Jolly and Phclan made a critu-al
examination of the case. Aixmt
midnight they all agreed Hi.it
Grinstead couldn't live.
