Jacob Hunker , jr. , was called

first of this week by the serious
illnes of an uncle.
R. E. Grinstead of Salem left
Monday for Oklahoma City where
he will attend the National
drainage convention.
The Gilligan Bridge Company
now occupy their new office rooms
over the Wanner drug store.
These make an elegant set of

will now have ample office space.
George Dilts this week moved
to h'is ' new home near Altoona ,
Iowa. He will again take up
rural life near that place , fol
lowed by the wishes of his friends
for unlimited success in his new
home.

Bro. Grinstead and daughter ,
Miss Floy presented the congre
gation of the first Christian
church , with a beautiful new in
dividual communion set , in token
of their love for the cause of
Christ. The members of the
congregation greatly appreciate
their kindness.

their stay here.
Mrs. Ada Wells returned Mon
day from a three weeks visit in
Kansas. While gone she attend
ed the wedding of her brother ,
M. A. Bright , of Irving , Kansas
to Mrs. Ida Triplet , of Harring
ton , Kansas. The marriage oc
curred Thursday , November 22 ,
at Marysvillc. Kansas. The
groom former ! } ' lived at this
place and will be remembered by
many of our citix.ens , all of whom
wish the newly married couple
