Prof. Rich , formerly principal of the Falls City schools died at f the home of his son Kdson in Omaha Sunday. Mr. Rich has , . many friends in Falls City who will learn of his death with great regret. Frank Harrison , the well known Nebrasha newspaper corrspond- cut who is now traveling in south America , has mailed The Trib une a souvenir postal card from Zapaca , Guatamala. We are in receipt of a Burling ton folder descriptive of the var ious irrigations projects of the United States government , and the same contains much valuable information. It is interesting to note that the North Platte Valley project covers 200,000 acres ; in the Platte valley the Shoshonc project covers an equal area in the Big Horn basin , the Crow re servation a half million acres and the Belle Fourshe prospect a large territory north of the Black Hills. The glorious Fourth seems to have been celebrated in proper style in Barada. The increase in the valuation this year over last amounts to $6,060,616.25.
