i Three Days Picnic.
' For a wonder the elciucnts were
hind to \IR for thc three days pic-
I trio and only once did it look as
I through rain would interfere with
the p1'Og-ram. Crowds hcg-an to
t come in early Tuesday morning
; and by thc time set for the pa-
; rade , thc streets were lined with
- natured
an enthusiastic and good u
. crowd all bent on getting all the
enjoyment out of thc three days
that coulll bc g'ot. After thc pa-
radc thc crowd repaired to thc
grounds where an excellent pro-
gram which the committee had l
prepared was carried out. 'Vhat :
' ' ' also be
is said of Tuesday can
said of thc remaining two days . ,
,
' weather
although the threatening
yesterday morning delayed thc
starting thc parade for about
an hour , but the sky : became clear
and everything went off 10\'ely
Thc ball games each day , accounts -
counts of which arc given elsewhere -
where , drew large c1'Owds each
afternoon If wc were to give a
detailed account of thc program
and c10 it justicc'it would take too
much space , Suffice to say that
every l1umber on thc program
was especially g-00c1. Tn fact this
years picnic will goo down in his-
tory as the biggest and best
thing of its kind ever attempted
in thc count'
A contest between thc different
drill teams was held on Stone
street late yesterday evening but
wc were compelled to go to press
before \\'C received the decision of
thc judg-cs
All thc visitors were well talc
care of and they rcturncl to their
homes well satisfied with thc
three days of cdcrtain1ncnt fur-

orders of Fall , Citr.
It would be a'cry diftlcu It
matter to discriminate between
thc many excellent turn-outs in
thc flower paradc. 'l'hc first
prize was awarded to thc George
Dictch buggy and anyone who
says the little rat of a girl seated
in thc beautifully decorated cart ,
driving as independently as a
qltccn upon her throne , will ht Ri-
tate a long while before criticis-
ing' thc verdict of thc Judg-es.
