Saturday afternoon August 20 , will be given to examinations and if there should be a demand for it - a special examination will be given - en Monday and Tuesday August i 22 and 23. The regular program for examination will be used. , Attendance. The institute will last only six days. It will be academic professional - fessional and inspirational-all three in one. It is very necessary that all teachers in the county meet at least once a year to learn f and discuss methods of teaching , to compare notes , gain inspiration if get a definite understanding of ' the new school laws and under ' , stand definitely the plan of-the work for the coming year. Hoff , Humboldt , will present Didactics , Written Arithmetic , Mental Arithmetic and Orthoepy IVIiss Belle Newell , Grand Isl- and , will hare charge of the pri- mary subjects , Form Study and Drawing , Read ing Methods , N um- ucrs and will conduct a Primary 'l'eachers' Kensington each after- noon 3:30 : to 4 o'clock. During this hour , paper cutting and fold- ing , raffia work , hammock weav- ing and rug work will bc taught. Even ladies who do not expect to teach will find this work very interesting - teresting and profitable and are invited to join the class. Miss Newell is one of Nebraska's most popular institute instructors. She has made special preparation in the Chicago university for her chosen work and has had charge of the primary work in the Grand Island public schools for several years. Mrs. H. P.
