Hcacock entertained the Presbyterian -
tcrian Ladies Kensington society
at thc Hcacock home yesterday
aftcrnoon. The meetings arc always -
ways looked forward to with
pleasant anticipations by thc
mcmbers of thc society and this
was but another occasion where
expectation became realization
The members were very nicely
cntertainel .

time taken up with memorial exercises -
crcises in which thc members of
the club expressed their appreci-
ation of thc life of one of its most
highly esteemed members , thc
. late : Mrs. N A. Grcenwald. Mrs .
Grccnwald was one of thc twenty
original mcmbers of Sorosis and
the first meeting thc club was
held in thc parlors of her home
on Stone strcct.
After music of an appropriate
nature was given hy I\Irs. Gist on
thc piano 1\1rs. 'V.l\L \Vi1solt read
a history of the life of thc dc-
cc asel. l\Iesdamcs Alexander ,
Hcavis , Gist and others made
short addrcsses in which touching
tributes were paid to her mcmory.
A committcc was appointed to
draft resolutions of'ymyath r.
At thc conclusion of these exer-
cises 1\Irs. 'Vanner read a care-
fully prepared paper on H\Vhitticr
as a Poct. " The parlors of thc
hostess were prettily decorated
with cut flowers for this meetiug-
and after adjournmcnt 1\1rs. Jenne
assisted by 1\1rs. 'Vanner served
an elegant luncheon.
