Chicago Chop
House Robbed
Three masked robbers entered
the Chicago Chop house about
three oclock Sunday morning
and at the muzzles of revolvers
robbed the cash register of its en
tire contents 2300
At the time of the robbery
Mr Cumas one of the proprie
tors was in the restaurant as
well as a brother of the other
proprietor George Theropulos
One of the robbers entered
from the rear door and was at
once engaged in a fight with Mr
Theropulos moving toward the
front of the restaurant the while
Hearing the encounter Mr
Cumas started toward the kitch
en when two more robbers ent
ered from the front door All
carried revolvers and Mr Ther
opulos and Mr Cumas wisely and
naturally concluded it was the
better part of valor to end resis
tance While two of the robbers
held revolvers over the men in
the restaurant the third robber
stole the money from the cash
register when they all made a
hurried get away
Charles Edwards was arrested
and is being held as one of those
under suspicion
The officers of the Epworth
League were installed last Fri
day evening A musical and lit
erary program was part of the
pleasurable proceedings of
evening not to mention the
