The Explosives Lecture
Captain G E Carleton of the
governments bureau of The
Safe Transportation of Explosiv
es and Other Dangerous Articles
delivered an illustrated lecture
Saturday evening in Masonic hall
before railroad men and others
interested This is an important
matter in transportation circles
and railroad companies now re
quire all engaged in this part of
their service to pass examinations
successfully in the rules of the
Bureau of the Safe Transporta
tion of Explosives and other
Dangerous Articles This fact
made the illustrated lecture of
more than common interest to
this branch of the companys em
ployes who were numerously pres
ent and keenly alive to the cap
tains lecture made more clear
and impressive by illustrations by
the lantern
Supt Plynn was in charge of
the meeing which was attended
by railroad men from various
points on the McCook division in
addition to a large representation
from local railroad circles
The lecture was in line with
the general trend of education as
applied to all brandies of the
railroad service
