Wednesday night He brought a shipment of hogs for Den ver as far as Culbertson and came down to he city for the rest of the day Dr B G Bailey is a new addi tion to McCooks corps of physicians and looking after the re mains of his brother A G Turano The editor went down to Indianola this afternoon to see his dead broth er and will leave for Cumberland this pvonincr Thft remains will be shipped tonight to Palisades Colo to be buried by another brother P A Irvins of Omaha was not disturbed enough to even inform his wife He returned to Indianola and commenced his work of soliciting busi ness and selling goods as if nothing had occurred Meanwhile his wife was keeping them busy at Omaha headquarters to learn his where abouts For some time no trace could be found of him search being made among the dead and wounded all without avail Mr and Mrs H H Culbertson of Bromfield or Wyoming 111 who were fatally burned in the wreck were on their wedding trip It is stated that they had a thousand dol lars on their persons She died in the hospital at Cambridge Tuesday and her remains were shipped on train ten Wednesday to Bromfield Illinois Mr Culbertson died at two oclock Wednesday afternoon and his body accompanied that of his bride back to Bromfield Illinois on No 10 Wednesday evening Thus closes one of the saddest incidents 01 uie wreck Hiram J Feekin who was so hor rihlv burned in No 9s chair car and was taJien to the Cambridge hos pital died there on Tuesday morning His remains were shipped here on No 5 Tuesday evening An A O U W escort followed the body to the Pade undertaking parlors on West B street Mrs Feekin who suffered a like fate as her husband died at Cam bridge Tuesday night and her body was shipped here on No 1 Wednes day when the remains were simil arly escorted to the undertaking par lors The funeral services over both were held in the Methodist church this afternoon at 230 oclock Mrs Maggie Sentance mother of Conductor C B Sentance of our city owes her life to the circumstance that she was in the toilet when the wreck occurred She was seated next to Mr and Mrs Hiram J Feekin both of whom were fatally scalded by the steam tiom engine 2S25 and the same tragic fate would doubtless have been hers As it was her burns are not serious She is with her son here and progressing nicely The burns are mostly about the head and face aijd arms She broke the glass in the window of the toilet room and escap ed from the car in that manner only cutting her hand a little in breaking the glass The remains of R B Wilson were shipped to Tobias Nebraska for bur ial He died of his injuries at Ox ford never having recovered con sciousness it is stated Bob Wil son has been employed by the com pany here for the last few years and at the time of his death was a machinists helper in the local shop He was a quiet mannered highly con sidered by his fellow workmen and standing well with his employers as a steady reliable employe He was few months since separated from his wife who with a little girl survive him He carried insurance in the Royal Highlanders the same being made payable to the little girl It is stated that the former wife is liv ing in Colorado now Investigation Held General Supt Allen of Lincoln con ducted a searching investigation of several hours Monday night in this city It is stated at headquarters here that upon Supt Allens return to Lincoln he would take the matter up with General Manager Holdrege of Omaha after which the responsi bility would be placed announcement likely beinar made from Lincoln Meeting orders at Red Willow were in possession of the crews of No 9 No 12s crews did not have meet ing orders at Red Willow One hears nought but words of most earnest sympathy and regret for those involved all being men of highest character and efficiency No Coroners Inquest There has been some wonderment that no inquest has been held The Tribune is informed that the com pany telegraphed the coroner Dr W A DeMay at Danbury who respond ed that he was unable to attend to the matter Sheriff Higgins who is acting coroner was at the wreck but took no official action So no inquest was officially held Bullards have dry
