date of its organization to the 7th day of June 1910 inclusive All items of revenue during the period were checked against duplicate receipts All items of disbursement were verified against the original re ceipted bills for the various items wherever these existed as well as against the vouchers or warrants which were in every instance and for every item approved issued and sub sequently returned and cancelled All cancelled checks for the period which were returned from the de posit banks were compared with the stubs of the check books and the de posits of cash receipts in the banks were compared with the entries on the cash book The accuracy of jour nal entries covering cash transac tions of additions in the cash book and journal and of posting from the cash book to the ledger were tested We herewith submit a summarization of the result of our examination The clerical work has been accur ately and systematically done and is in satisfactory condition The stock holders are to be congratulated on the excellence of the financial show ing An analysis of the subjoined statement discloses that the obliga tion which was incurred to complete the building will within a compara tively short time be discharged from the net receipts which are being ap plied to that end and that when this has been accomplished the forty five thousand dollars of stock will repre sent an investment which will be worth in the neighborhood of sixty thousand dollars and the rentals from he building and the receipts from the opera house will be suffi cient to pay substantial dividends The officers and directors as well as the managers of the opera house whose tireless efforts have been re munerated only by the gratification which rewards performance of public service are deserving of
