James Purdy who was found guilty in the district court of Red Willow county on a complaint charging him with adultery has been reversed by the supreme court The court holds that it is material whether or not Nancy J Lane the woman in the case was married Purdy was not permitted to offer testimony showing that Nancy J Lane was not the law ful wife of William H Lane who had said she was his wife McCook touching their civic pride and their general welfare for the health of the community and I want to take thi op portunity to kindly thank all those who cooporated with us in trying to make the streets and alleys of McCock a pride instead of a disgrace I find there are some that have either forgotten or else do not intend to take care of their alleys or clean up the re fuse on their lots and
