Agent William Ilarris has resumed

is subbing up the line further west
Last Saturday night is said to have
marked high tide in the matter of cars
in the McCook yard 1L10 cars being on
the tracks at that time of record
Wire Chief Heber was bitten by a cat
in a fit Sunday A physician was con
sulted and precautions taken and no
serious effects are anticipated
C M StennRtt postal clerk on the
McCook Imperial was stricken down
with lumbago last Thursday and
Postoffice Clerk Brady assisted him
make tho run that day He was relieved
by a substitute from Lincoln Friday
and has laid off for a ccuple of days to
recuperate
An extra freight train ran into the
section crew last Saturday morning
Oct 30th during the heavy fog demol
ishing the hand car Some of the men
had a very narrow escape They had
just got where they were going to work

an encounter Wednesday night in the
Bailey Vasconcellos billiard hall In
which Osborn was pretty badly used by
OConnor for whom an officer is out
with a warrant charging assault The
row is said to have been fast and furious
for a short time with billiard balls etc

Death of a Former Resident
Mrs John Bramble a former resident
of McCook died of cancer in Loveland
Colorado November 1st and was buried
in that city on the 3rd Departed was
a member of the Degree of Honor and
carried a policy in the order of 2000
