ing you could hear the roar of the
anvil It reminded you that it was
July 3rd The day was still and warm
and at ten oclock the parade led by the
band marched to the grove After a
program they ate their dinners At 330
the races commenced After the races
Danbury and Wilsonville played ball
Danbury winning by a score of 10 to 2
Wilsonville did not score until their last
inning when one player made a home
run -and a runner on second came home

Danbury basket hall girls played Mc
Cook girls and Dtmbury won by a score
of G to 13 At 900 oclock were the fire
works and then the dance and home

lacked good judgment that made the
arrangements We also had a ball
game between Bethel Kansas and the
nome team ine score was 0 to o in
favor of the visitors

rains the total amount of which was

and some partly cloudy The hottest
day of the spason so far was June 29

ably fast Very little damage was done
to crops by wind or hail We are
