the dispatchers office Wilber Anderson had a misunder standing with an air hoist Wednesday and has a vacancy on his left hand which will ever be an unfortunate reminder of hisaccident The ends of the first and second fingers were cut off and the end of the third finger was badly mashed One of the stacks of the round house steam and beating plant caught fire Saturday evening and attracted some agin on agin gone agin 1 Iv I P S HEATON Manager Interesting- Lecture by Rev Carman The Rev M B Carman of the M E church of McCook delivered a very forcoful and impressivo lecture in tbo M E church hero on Monday nigh entitled Boys and Girls The lecturer was formerly a pastor in this town and his many friends were de lighted to see and hear him agsin His lecture proved to bo ono bristling with wit and humor It also contained much good sound advico and merited the well filled house which greeted him The concensus of opinion was that tho lectur ers strongest points wore made when he endeavored to impress upon parents their responsibility in caring for their boys and girls On Tuesday night Mr Carman de livered his lecture Down East to a large and appreciative audience in the M E church at Smithfield This lee ture is historical and touched the pa triotic feelings of his audience Ber trand and Smithfield churches unite in saying Brother Carman come again and come soon Bertrand
