proposition of Messrs Colson Beach et al to build a theatre in Mc Cook In a word tho proposition offers Mc Cook a 30000 theatre building provid ed McCook gives the promoters three lots on Main avenue and a cash bonus of 3000 There was no division of sentiment or opinion concerning tho action of tho people of the city of McCook Upon tho parties of the first making a satis factory financial showing McCook will undoubtedly come to the scratch with her lots and money Tho matter was re ferred to a committee composed of II H Sutton F A Pennell and C F Lehn Tho approaching Christian Endeavor district convention was brought to tho attention of tho club and proper de coration was urged on businessmen and citizens by action of tho club A motion to boost the coming West Nebraska conference to be hold in Mc Cook September 17 23 mot with a ready response Some items of decora tion wero suggested and tho club went into a committee of the wholo to help along tho conference by any and all means possible The West Nebraska Conference The West Nebraska Conference of tho Methodfst church will hold its annual meeting in McCook September 17 23 This conference embraces 33 counties and over 200 preaching
