caused quite a rumpus at the depot
Wednesday night of last week by going
into an apartment containing a leaky
Pintsch gas pie The ensuing explosion
and fire made the force hustle to keep
the car from burning up The car came
in from the west attached to No 6 but
was set out at this place The pipe had
been leaking on the way down from the
west

An Auspicious Nuptial Event
Last Thursday evening at the home
of the brides parents Mr and Mrs John
F Helm of Red Willow Mr Henry
Christian Giese of Leavitt Nebraska
and Miss Nettie Estella Helm of Red
Willow were united in marriage under
happiest auspices and with elaboration
and detail perhaps never excelled in the
history of Red Willow county
The ceremony was performed under
a superb bell of white roses and foliage
in the swell window of the back parlor

ber preceded by her maid of honor
Miss Aimee Menard of McCook and
bridesmaid Miss Pearl Zint of McCook
and was given away by her father the

The brides dress was of white swiss
mull en train trimmed with baby Irish
lace chiffon and ribbons she wore a

of white bride roses

of the bride was ring bearer carrying
the dainty mystic circle in a large white
rose

The parlor was beautifully decorated
with white cut flowers and ferns

The presents were numerous and
handsome
After the ceremony an elegant four
course dinner was served the guests be
ing served at five large tables on the
lawn the bridal party occupying the
front porch A superb brides cake
elaborately and beatifully decorated was
afterwards distributed among the 200 or
more guests from the brides table

The Dutcher boys received a telegram
Monday morning from Iowa bearing
the sad news of their mothers death
The body will be shipped here for
burial
Mr Henry McCloskey and daughter
of Fairbury are visitors in the homes
of Dan and Joe Harrison
Quite a spirited game of ball was
played lart Thursday at the fair ground
between Indianola and Beaver City
resulting in defeat for Beaver City
