Farmers Institute
We trust the farmers will remember
the date of the institute which is held
under the auspices of the Uuiversity of
Nebraska not for the benefit of a few
but for the good of all who will avail
themselves of this opportunity The ex
perience of our last institute warrants us
in saying that the addreses as shown
on the program will not be set and dry
speeches but you will have the privilege
of asking questions at any time on any
point not clear to you Remember that
it is for every man who may be a renter
or land owner in the county of Red Wil
low Do you want to know more about
the breeding and selecting of seed corn
dairing farmers school and home grow
ing of Bmall fruits or dry land farming
come and hear the discussions and give
us the advantage of your experience
along these lines
THE SUGAR BEET INDUSTRY
The sugar beet industry will be under
discussion Saturday afternoon and a
lively time is expected on this question
for it seemB to be generally understood
that there is considerable dissatisfaction
in this locality For some reason un-
known to us the name of the party who
is to speak on that topic does not ap
pear on the published program
Have you any seed that you think well
bred it would be well to bring in a
sample for your own satisfaction and for
the edification of others It is possible
that few of the farmers know that this
county has but 740 acres more wheat
than corn which is an evidence that
corn is rapidly growing into favor with
our farmers and is a paying crop
Do not forget the dates December 15
and 16 Friday and Saturday Same to
be held in the court room of the county
