visiting friends in this locality James Jensen has returned to Red Willow county to live after farming several years in Illinois The Mather farm has been sold to James McClung consideration four she took the train for her fathers home in Ohio Mrs W II Smith went to Trenton Saturday last and visited with relatives until Tuesday when she returned home on No 12 Will Fitch who has been very sick with typhoid fever is slowly recovering and with proper care will soon be able to be out again Fred Burts child who was reported as being very sick last week is much bet ter at this writing and hopes are enter tained of its recovery Miss Verna Brown who has been the guest cf her uncle and aunt Mr and Mrs W II Smith went over to Dan bury Sunday to visit relatives Mrs Curey from near Benkalman ar rived Wednesday evening with her three children and will live in the Lam- born property on the hill north of town Mrs Tim Haley and son were passen gers on No 6 Saturday night through this place on her way to Ohio to be in attendance at the bedside of her father who is dangerously ill Mr and Mrs J R Balding and little son spent Sunday with Mr Baldings father living north of Trenton Mr Balding their 4th wedding anniversary Games and a feast of good things were enjoyed by all present Harry L Brown made the sale of the Irving farm southeast of Bartley this week to Henry Kanhause for S7000 Mr Kanhause sold bis farm north of Bartley and thought of moving to Oregon or Oklahoma but after some inquiry con cluded Red Willow county was good enough for him and will now remain in Nebraska The burning of our depot last week is a great loss and inconvenience to the peo pie of Bartley and vicinity and we hope the company will build another as soon as the can and while we are waiting they
