Why He Does It
It isnt often that wo have faith
enough in the medicines put up by other
pooplo to be willing to offer to refund
the money if it does not cure said drug
gists Lon Cone Bro to one of their
many customers but wo are glad to sell
Dr Howards specific for the cure of
constipation and dyspepsia on that plan
The Howard Co in order to got a
quick introductory sale authorized us
to sell the regular fifty cent bottle of
their specific for half price 25 cants and
although wo have sold lot of it and
guaranteed every package not one has
been brought back unsatisfactory
One great ad vantage of thisspecific
ho continued is its small dose and con
venient form There are sixty doses in
a vial that can bo carried in the vest
pocket or purse and every one has more
medicinal power than a big pill or tablet
or a tumbler of mineral water
We are still selling the specific at
half price although we cannot tell how
long wo shall bo able to do so Any
person who is subject to constipation
sick headache dizziness liver trouble
indigestion or a general played out con
dition ought to take advantage of this
opportunity If the specific does not
cure them thoy can come right back to
our store and wo will cheerfully refund
their money

A minor chango indicated will be the

An interesting discussion is now run
ning in the columns of The Homestead
relating to the type of horse that is best
adapted to farm labor in the corn belt
The editor of The Homestead has taken
the position that the horse weighing
from 1450 to 1700 pounds isnotonly the
most profitable to raise for tho market
but that an animal of this weight if the
quality is right is much more useful on
heavy farm implements than the light
weights The expression of this opin
ion has stirred up some of the advocates
of the lighter breeds and one subscriber
goes so far as to say that he can disc
more ground with four 1200 pound
standard horses than can be done by a
similiar number of drafters He points
out that the standard horse has more
snap and that he will do his work with
a greater degree of ease than tha heavy
weights Some interesting arguments
are put forth on both sides of this ques
tion and tho matter is not ended yet
We would like to here repeat that sub
scriptions for The Homestead are taken
at this office and we shall be pleased to
do our part towards swelling the num
ber of Homestead subscribers in this
communitv
