It is regretted that the hall was not
larger so that more people could have
enjoyed this intellectual and musical
treat the equal of which few if any
have been heard in McCook for several
years
Next the boxes were sold at auction
many being very attractive and some
selling as high as five dollars The vote
for the most popular lady resulted in
Miss Daigh receiving first prize a hand
some toilet case and Miss Fleischman
second prize a Japanese work box The
booby prize for the homeliest man pres
ent was carried by W A Middleton

to their new home about 16 miles west
of here on the Frenchman river They
came here in June 1884 and have lived
here ever since The son and two daugh
ters have grown up here and know no
other home They all took a very active
part in Sunday school meetings and in
Epworth League work They are of the
class that elevate society and make it
better Any community will be bettered
by ther living in it The best wishes of
this neighborhood go with them to their
new home and we wish them abundant
success in their new home

parents and friends here They left on
No 5 Sunday evening for their new
home in Wyoming
The agricultural train passed through
Indianola Monday afternoon as pre
dicted and stopped long enough to let
the various speakers expound what they
know about farming
Wm Dolan shipped a car of cattle to
Kansas City Sunday evening The
cattle were a lot that had been brought
from Fort Collins Colo and fattened
ready for market here
