Tho board of county commissioners
met pursuant to adjournment present
D A Waterman Samuel Promer and
J 11 Bennett county commissioners
and George Berry deputy county clerk
The minutes of previous meeting wore
read and approved
On motion of J II Bennett seconded
by Samuel Premor J E Ryan was ap
pointed justice of tho pence for Indianola
precinct to fill vacancy and C E Mat
thews justice of tho peace for East
Valley precinct to fill vacancy
On motion of J II Bennett seconded
by Samuel Premor the jury list for Feb
ruary term of tho district court was al
lowed as certified to by the clerk of tho
district court
On presentation of certificates from
tho county treasurer of Marion county
Iowa showing tax had been paid prior
to shipment to Red Willow county Ne
braska clerk was instructed to authorize
county treasurer to deduct 485 from
personal assessment of Hiram Clark for
tho year 1903
Communication from A Barnett was
read offering to furnish a town clock for
tho court house tower without expense
to the county and on motion same was
accepted
On motion of J II Bennett seconded
by Samuel Premer tho bids of Dr C L
Fahnestock for furnishing medical ser
vices and medicines to paupers of third
commissioner district for the year be
ginning March 15th 1905 and Dr J M
Brown for same for second commissioner
district were rend and accepted and
clerk was instructed to make contracts
accordingly
On moti the bid of Dr O E Robin
son for medical attendance and medicines
for paupers was rejected for the reason
that it did not comply with conditions of
tho advertisement
On motion clerk was ordered to in
struct the county treasurer to refund
432 to J M Ilorton to correct error in
personal tax assessment of 1901 and paid
by him under protest

motion approved and ordered placed on
