over the Holdrego high school team nt
Holdrego last Saturday by a score of
11 to 6 in a warm game The line up for
tho home team was as follows
The report of the city schools of Hol
drego for the month of September shows
an attendance of 560 pupils By way of
comparison wo note the fact that tho
total enrollment of the McCook public
schools for the first week in September
was 771
Tho first meeting of the teachers
reading circle last Saturday afternoon
was well attended The next meeting
of the circle occurs on Saturday after
noon November 12th at two oclock
and it is hoped that every rural teacher
within reach of McCook will bo present

decidedly second best in a recent misun
derstanding with h i s bicycle His
funny bones and chin were the princi
pal points of attack and for a day or two
