The above changes to take effect
October 10 1904 II E Byram
General Superintendent
Approved G W Holdregh Gen
oral Manager
Mr Campbell has been ailing for sev
eral months He took a short vacation
several months ago in the hope that his
troubles would quickly disappear but in
this he was disappointed lie is one of
the old time officials of the road having
been with tho B M lines in one ca
pacity or another since the early days in
this state when the system began to ex
pand It is said of him that ho has
more friends and fewer enemies than any
superintendent His strong point is in
track building and maintenance and in
this he excelled He is a good operating
department man and his record as a
superintendent is high Those w h o
know him dislike to hear of his forced
retirement at this time on account of ill
health For many years Mr Campbell
has been noted for his rugged robust
physical appearance and for his strength
Mr English is an old time employe of
of the road coming up from tho oper
ating department to his present position
He has long been Superintendent Big
nells assistant at Aurora
Abolishing the office at Denver it is
believed is merely -in line with the re
trenchment policy being followed wher
ever possible The division of the work
of genoral superintendent of lines west
of the river makes it possible for this one
office to be abolished Lincoln Journal

the shipments from Culbertson station
alone have exceeded the total shipments
from the entire branch last season

in the McCook yard being shipments
from Palisade and points this way Of
these 30 cars 22 belonged to tho Stand
ard the remaining 8 cars going to the

the occasion was a nappy one for the
pastor and wife and fully enjoyed by all
who sought to welcome them into our
city and into the work of the Master
