Union Outofdoor Meeting
The Methodist Baptist Congregation
al and Christian churches of our city
united in an outofdoor meeting in the
city park last Sunday evening
Christian Citizenship was the topic
upon which each of the pastors spoke
In view ofthet approach of July 4th
the meeting took on a patriotic coloring
There was a large attendance and for
the most part good interest The short
addresses of the different ministers were
characterized by earnestness and
warmth All in all the meeting was quite
satisfactory It may bo that more of
these union gatherings may be had in
in the park during the heated season

Two Horses Stolen
Two saddle horses from Perry Stones
cattle ranch at the mouth of Driftwood
creek were stolen from the public hitch
ing square back of the Citizens bank on
the night of July 4th The thieves ac
commodatingly stole saddles and bridles

ner of the carrier pigeon fly between
McCook and Minneapolis Monday
made the distance about 500 miles in

mon kingfisher is an expert hole borer
There is scarcely a clayey bank along
the streams of our middle and south
ern states but has its face cut by the
door of one of these gloomy looking
