The Nebraska Commission to the St
Louis exposition has placed at the dis
posal of the Nebraska Improved Live
Stock Association the sum of 2000 to
pay transportation charges on Nebraska
live stonk to the St Louis Exposition
the money to be divided as follows
Horses 400
Swine 400
Sheep 200
Cattle 1000
At a meeting of the executive
committee of the Live Stock Association
it was decided that all live stock to par
ticipate in this offer of free transporta
tion must be exhibited at the Nebraska
State Fair excepting horses which
must be shown before the State Fair
All horsemen who wish to take advan
tage of this offer must notify the Secre
tary O E Mickey at Osceola Neb
prior to July 1 1904 and must be filed
with the secretary by that date or be
barred from participation in free trans
portation
If enough entries are filed to warrant
it a committe will be sent to examine
entries and pass upon their merits All
other live stock will be chosen from
stock exhibited at the Nebraska State
Fair and all animals given free trans
portation must be owned in the state by
residents of Nebraska
Exhibitors are requested to notify the
secretary of the number of head to be
exhibited stating breed age sex name
and number of animals and class in
which they will be entered Entry
blanks will be furnished by OEMickey
secretary or by the department of live
stock at St Louis Entries must be
made at St Louis for horses on or be
fore July 16th and will be received at
St Louis afler August 18th and their
exhibition will begin August 22d and
close September 3d 1904
Entries for cattle must be filed on or
before July 30th at St Louis and will
be received from September 8th and
exhibition will begin September 12th
and close September 24th
Sheep and swine must be entered on
or before August 20th will be received
on September 29th and the exhibition
will begin October 3d and close October
loth 1904
All entries sent to the secretary will
have prompt attention and it is earnest
ly -wished that all parties who enter or
have entered directly to exposition
authorities will also send full particulars
of their entries to the secretary The
revised entry list and prise list is
now ready and may be obtained of the
chief of the live stock department at
