already has a new set of 98 inch drivers under it A cab is being built over the front oc the engine This cab will have the regulation coach roof and sloping end over the pilot The roof will come within a foot of the top of the smoke stack The cab will be about 11 feet long and extend G feet back of the boiler head and 5 feet in front A two foot pilot will be in front of this There will be seating arrangements for five occupants The engineer will have his seat in this front end cab and connections with the air throttle and reverse will be there The fireman will be the only occupant of the regular cab Entrance to this inspection cab will be on the side in front by means of a door 7 feet high and 1 foot 9 inches wide There will be plenty of windows This inspection engine is a decidedly new departure and embodies mainly the ideas of Superintendent Bignell There is nothing like it in this western coun try Something similar is in use on the Pennsylvania railroad It will
