The ladies of the Methodist church
will give a dinner and bazaar in the
Masonic hall April 11
Ed Ladin has purchased the Shu
maker house and will move to town

ening to spend a few days
William Gotschall and son Clyde of

Will Powers and Miss Pearl Lee were
united in marriage at the home of the
brides parents Mr and Mrs Ed Lee
living north of town last Friday
Alex Thacker has purchased a meat
market at Axtell and left for that place
Monday morning Mrs Thacker and
Mona remained until Thursday morning
to visit friends
Will Mackey of Missouri Eidge was
in town Saturday to meet his wife and
baby who have been visiting her sister
in Omaha While in town they were
the guests of Mart Akers and wife
Miss Alta Hager gave a masquerade
party at the home of Mrs C B Walls
last Friday evening About twenty five
young people were present and a very
pleasant evening was spent in games
and music
High water and ice carried away part
of the bridge south and of the one
southwest of town Monday Commun
ication with the people on the south
side of the river has ceased for a time at
least Several of the school children
have been compelled to take up their
abode in town it being impossible for
them to get home

The Steltzer brothers were pleasant
callers at Box Elder last Friday after
noon
The Redwillow creek is higher than
it was ever known to be at this time of

Will Stone wna laid up with the rheu
matism for a few days but is able to
ride out now
Uncle Ira Harrison is able to be out
again Ho and Mrs Harrison spent
Friday with Rev and Mrs Satchell
Paul Stone arrived home from Su
perior the latter part of last week Ho

Fred Kang and Guy Doylo started
west last Monday night Fred goes to
Lendville Colorado and Guy to Port

The young folks spent a pleasant
time Friday evening at the homo of

was spent in playing games and eating
