painful accident last week While
hauling straw a gun was discharged by

arm was badly injured the flesh being

The old acquaintences of Mrs Ida
Brown nee King will be very sorry to
learn that she has had a stroke of paral
ysis and is now in the M E hospital at
Omaha
Miss Orpha Satchell returned last
Wednesday morning to Her sisters at
Aurora this state and will again take
up her studies next Monday morning
Her brother Fred accompanied her
J K Gordon furnished a fine cedar
tree for the church Christmas eve It
was nicely decorated and held many nice
as well as useful presents The enter
tainment was splendid and spoke well
for those who had the work of getting it
up as well as those who took part in the
singing and other exercises of the even
ing The two exercises The Living
Star and Christmas had lessons in
them worthy of remembrance both to
the performers and those who were there
for entertainment
