The Following- Proposed Amendment to
the Constitution of the State cf Ne
braska as Hereinafter Set Forth In
Full is Submitted to the Electors of
the State of Nebraska to be Voted
Upon at the General Election to be
Held Tuesday November 4 1902
A Joint Resolution projiosing to amend Sec
tion one of Article iifteen of the Constitution
of the St nte of Nebraska relative to the manner
of submitting and adopting amendments to the
constitution of the said state of Nebraska
Be it resolved and enacted by the Legislature
of the State of Nebraska
Section 1 That Section one of Article fifteen
of the Constitution of the State of Nebraska be
amended to reatl as follows
Section 1 Either branch of the legislature
may propose amendments to this constitution
and if the same bo agreed to by three liftlis of
the members elected to each house such pro
posed amendments shall be entered 011 the
Journals with the yeas and nays and published
at least once each week in at least one news
paper in each county where a uewspmier is
published for thirty days immediately preced
ing tho next election of senators and representa
tives at which election tlio same sliall be sub
mitted to the electors for approval or rejection
and if a majority of the electors voting at such
election on such proposed amendment shall
vote to adopt such amendment tho same shall
become a part of this constitution When more
than one amendment is submitted at the same
election they shall be so submitted as to enable
tho electors to vote on each amendment sepa
rately
All ballots used at such election on such
amendment or amendments shall have written
or printed thereon tho following For promised
