The Following Proposed Amendment to
the Constitution of the State of Ne
braska as Hereinafter Set Forth in
Full Is Submitted to the Electors oi
the State of Nebraska to be Voted
Upon at the General Election to be
Held Tuesday November 4 1902
A Joint Resolution proposing to amend Sec
tion 0110 of Article fifteen of the ConstitiitioR
of the State of Nebraska relative to the manner
or submitting and adopting amendments to thi
constitution of the said state of Nebraska
Be it resolved and enacted by tho Legislature
of tho State of Nebraska
Suction 1 That Section one of Article fiftowr
of the Constitution of the State of Nebraska In
amended to read as follows
Section 1 Either branch of tho legislature
may propose amendments to this constitution
and if the saino bo agreed to by three fifths ot
the members elected to each house such pro
posed amendments shall bo entered on thir
Journals with the yeas and nays and published
at least once each week in at least one news
paper in each county where a iiewspnix r iir
published for thirty days immediately on-ceding
the next election of senators and representa
tives at which election the same shall bo sub
mitted to the electors for approval or rejection
and if a majority of the electors voting at such
election on such proposed amendment shalfc
vote to adopt such amendment the same shalF
become a part of this constitution When more
than one amendment is submitted at the same
election they shall bo so submitted as to enablo
the electors to vote on eacli amendment septt
rately
All ballots used at such election on suclt
amendment or amendments shall havo written
or printed thereon the following For projxser

insert the subject of tho amendment and

on such amendment or amendments shall bo
designated by the elector by making a cros

machine is in use
