The indications now are that the umpire will
be able to say play and that McCook will be
able to put in the field this season a ball team

About fifty ladies of the Culbertson
lodg D of II invaded the lodge room
of the A O U W Monday night
while that body was in session and de
manded that the order of business be
changed to include refreshments with
which they were abundantly supplied
The boys immediately surrendered and
the ladies led them to the large dining
room adjoining where a sumptuous
spread greeted their vision An enjoy
able time was had the Workmen per
forming their duties in true workmenlike
manner
A meeting of our citizens was held in
the M E church Tuesday afternoon
to determine where the 5 weeks Normal
Summer School should be held The
decision was to be between McCook and
Culbertson Deputy State Supt J L
McBrien of Lincoln assisted by Supt
Jas OConnell of Trenton Miss Ida M
Kelley of Champion and R II Pickett
of Hayes Center conducted the meeting
Culbertson is very earnest in its desire
to hold the school here The citizens
are very enthusiastic over itandaresure
they can make it a success It was not
decided however but will bo in a few

The local Woodmen brethren have caught the

in attendance
