A wind and rain storm struck Benkel
man hard Wednesday afternoon The
United Presbyterian church was blown
from its foundation and demolished
All small buildings and many windmills
were blown over and destroyed No one
reported hurt

On Wednesday evening friends to the
number of about forty had a surpiise
party for Miss Maud Coleman They
brought quite a number of ice cream
freezers full of frozen ocean and cake
till Uncle couldnt rest Games were
played and a general jolly good time
was had At a late hour they returned
to their homes Miss Maud will long
hold in loving remembrance tne dear
friends who called and made life so
pleasant and wish her a long happy and
useful life
