Frank Hodgkin has accepted the
position of engineer with G W Ritchie
in the threshing business this fall
Sol Premer was in town Saturday
making arrangements for sending one of
his boys to our school this winter
Mrs P S Clayton has so far recover
ed from her recent sickness as to be
out of doors but she is very weak yet
G W Ritchie received a fine new
engine for his threshing outfit last
Monday morning and is busy at work

Frank Teeters will move his family in

A large delegation went from here to
Indianola Monday to attend the funeral
of J J Lamborn He had a large circle
of friends here who mourn his death

turned Monday from their trip to Cali

poor water made them glad to get back
to Nebraska again
Roy Kennedy rolled into town on
Monday morning from a trip south of
town among fair friends and reported
that he was off nextFriday for Montana

the bedside of his mother in McCook
who is very sick with dropsy they
returned Monday reporting that she
is slowly mending at present
The Indianola base ball team crossed
bats with our boys Friday with the
result that our boys defeated them by a
score of 13 to 15 Bad blood made some
of our visitors act unwisely to say the
least
Once in a while there comes to a town
some institution that is a disgrace to
the town and all who are partakers of
the same and Bartley is no exception as
we have recently seen Still we will

Charley Catlott had the misfortune to
mash his foot last week on Wednesday
by having a tie fall endwise out of tho
