Roy Jacobs is helping . G. Dutton.
W. S. Frtch is putting out trees , this week.
The literary was well attended and as usual
"roasts" were the central attraction.
Hurrah for Nebraska ! The ground is so
wet that the farmers cannot go into the fields
to work.
We learn from a letter that Kntlilyn Duffey
has a very good position teaching school at
Ontario , III.
There was a good attendance out to Sun
day-school , last Sunday , and the school was
organized with S. G. Golieen as superintend
ent.
ent.Rev.
Rev. Walker will preach again , next Sun
day , and the Sunday-school will be [ n good
running order. .All are cordially invited.
Bring the children and grown-up people.
There was a full delegation from Driftwood
precinct at the Republican county convention ,
held at Indianola , last Thursday. C. T. Eller
was again chosen as central committceman.
Hcrt Overman's team became frightened ,
last Sunday , and ran away. There were two
children in the wagon who were too small to
try and stop the team , and as there was no
one else in the wagon the horses had it all
their own way. They circled around several
times and at last ran straight towards the
Filch school-house ; and Lintord Fitch seeing
them coming ran and jumped the fence in
time to catch the horses by the head and stop
them before they ran into the fence. Fortun
ately the wagon was not overturned , and as
the children sat on the bottom of the bed , they
were not thrown out , though very much fright
ened. On the whole , it was a narrow escape.
Spreads Like Wildfire.

the result of their visit.
Millions Given Away.
It is certainly gratifying to the public to
know of one concern which is not afraid to be
generous. The proprietors of Dr. King's New
Discovery for Consumption , Coughs and
Colds , have given away over ten million trial
bottles and have the satisfaction of knowing
it has cured thousands of hopeless cases. As
thma , bronchitis , lagrippe , and all throat ,
chest and lung diseases are surely cured by it.

dignantly , emphatically and unequivocally
deny things.
W. II. Shipman. Bearclsley , Minn. , under
oath , says lie suffered from dyspepsia for
twenty-five years. Doctors and dieting gave
but little relief. Finally he used Kodol Dys
pepsia Cure and now eats what he likes and
as much as he wants , and he feels like a new
man. It digests what you eat. D. W. Loan
The collapse of the egg trust should be ac
cepted as convincing evidence that a shell
game can sometimes be beaten.
Perfect digestion is the only foundation for
perfect health. The food we eat makes all
the blood we have , which in turn feeds every
nerve , muscle and tissue in the body. Her-
bine quickens the appetite , aids digestion ,
gives tone and vigor to all the functions and
ensures good health. Price , 50 cents. A. Mc-
Millen.
An Indianapolis babe was baptised a few
days ago with water from the river Jordan ,
brought from the hold land for that purpose.
This looks like an almost treasonable dis
crimination against the historic old Wabash.
