A Furnas County Instance.
Andrew Majewski came to Furnas
county twenty two years ago from Seward -
ard count3' . We did not inquire how
much money he brought with him , but
presume not much. He now owns eleven
quarters of land , much of the level land
being under cultivation. ( Mr. Graham
closed a deal with Mr. Majewski for two
of the eleven quarters during our stay
for dinner. ) He handed us an opera
glass to view his cattle in the distant
stalk fields. The yards were full of fat
porkers and an air of German thrift per
vaded the place. The house , a three
story brick , was supplied with water
faucets fed from a cistern on a hill at the
rear of the house Stockville Faber.

When Nature is overtaxed , she hasher
AN UNFAILING SIGN THAT
her own way of giving notice that assist
ance is needed. She does not ask for
NATURE IS APPEALING help until it is impossible to get along without
it. Boils and pimples are an indication that
the system is accumulating impurities which
HELP. must be gotten rid of ; they are an urgent appeal for assistance
. a warning that can not safely be ignored.
To neglect to purify the blood at this
time means more than the annoyance of painful boils and
unsightly pimples. If these impurities are allowed to
remain , the system succumbs to any ordinary illness , and is
unable to withstand the many ailments which are so
prevalent during spring and summer.
Sirs. L. Gentile , 2004 Second Avenue , Seattle. Wash. ,
says : "I was afflicted for a long time with pimples , which
were very annoying , as they disfigured my face fearfully.
After using many other remedies in vain. S S. S. promptly
and thoroughly cleansed my blood , and now I rejoice in
a good complexion , which I .aever had before. "
Capt. W. H. Dunlap , of the A. G. S.
R. R. , Chattanooga. Tenn. , writes :
* ' Several boils and carbuncles broke out upon me , causing
great pain and annoyance. My blood seemed to be in
a riotous condition , and nothing I took aeeined to do
any good. Six bottles of S. S. S. cured me completely
and my blood has been perfectly pure ever since. "
S. S. S. FOR THE BLOOD
is the best blood remedy , because it is purely vegetable
and is the only one that is absolutely free from potash and mercury. It
promptly purifies the blood and thoroughly cleanses the system , builds up
the general health and strength. It cures Scrofula , Eczema , Cancer , Rheuma
tism , Tetter. Boils , Sores , etc. , by going direct to the cause of the trouble and
'forcing out all impure blood.

Do You Want a Calendar ?
The biggest and best calendar ever is
sued by the American railroad is now being
distributed by the Burlington Route.
It has twelve sheets , one for each month of
the year. On each sheet is a striking illus
tration of some feature of the Burlington's
service or of the territory reached by its lines
the government fast mail running at full
speed ; a tourist car on its way to California
engine 1591 , the largest passenger engine in
the world ; a library car ; a compartment sleep
er ; the Burlington station at Omaha ; a din
ning car ; a monster freight train ; Jistes Park ,
Cole , the plunge bath at Hot Springs , S. D. ,
Yellowstone Falls , etc.
The drawings from which the pictures were
made are by Louis Braunhold , ot Chicago ,
and cost several hundred dollars.
The size of the calendar is 22x28.
The dates are in big type which can be read
at a distance of 50 feet. For business offices
the Burlington calendar is simply invaluable.
Purchased in large quantities , the calendars
cost the Burlington Route 27 cents apiece.
With postage , packing , etc. , they represent an
investment of about 35 cents. Our price is 25
cents 10 cents less than cost. Write for one :
stamps will do. If it is not satisfactory , send
it back and your money will be promptly re
funded. 2-2-61. J. FRANCIS ,
