Harlow W. Keyes was in McCook , Wednes
day , looking up some legal matters The
chances of the Republican county ticket are
looking up in this precinct. It begins to look
as though Indianola would swing back into
the Republican column in line shape , this
year Miss Welborn , county superintend
ent , returned home , Tuesday evening , from
her week's absence in Denver at the carnival.
Mrs. Martha J. Cordeal , the Republican
nominee for county superintendent , created a
very favorable impression on all who met her
during her brief visit to the county fair. I ler
well-known unequalled qualifications for that
vital educational position wijl attract many
votes to her support , this coining election
C. 11. Russell had business in Lincoln , Tues
day Dennis Fitzgerald consulted with the
politicians at the county seat Monday. Clark
McClung accompanied him Gertie Tee !
has given up her school temporarily , on ac
count of rheumatism , and Erne is teaching in
her stead.

J. W Corner took in a load of wheat and
brought out a load of lumber , Saturday.
