Mrs. Joseph Hegenberger and Mrs.
Herman Hegenberger are spending the
week in Pacific Junction , visiting rela
tives and friends.
A stock car fell off the jack-screws at
the repair track on Thursday morning ,
and two of the gang are resting up six
days in consequence.
Conductor J. J. Curran and crew had
the first "Golden Gate" special out of
Denver , last Sunday night. They ran
the special out just ahead of No. 2.
N. K. Griggs of Lincoln , lawyer , mu
sician , and poet , made trip up the Impe
rial branch , Wednesday , on business
with Supt. J. R. Phelan of the Northern
division.
Hastings , Nebraska , April 2. It has
been given out that the Burlington rail
road company has definitely concluded
to build a new depot in this city. The
site has already been purchased , the
company having secured the block at the
corner of First street and Lincoln ave
nue. This will give the depot a central
location , and seems to meet with the ap
proval of all citizens. It is thought the
new depot will be erected this summer.
