" J " * " " -T ( .I. in mi i ± i' .wr i - The editor is not "roasting" a show when he simply criticises the performers or the play ; he is sim ply sustaining his own reputation for common sense. A man goes to the theater and hears a poor play poorly played ; he goes home and the next day reads the paper and there finds that the editor consid ers the play first-class and strictly up-to-date. He immediately con cludes that the editor has no taste and has lived in the backwoods all his life. The praise of an editor who praises everything amounts to nothing. If he will pass his best judgment on every performance he witnesses , then when' he gets enthusiastic - thusiastic in his praise it amounts to something , while if he always writes that old "entertaining , amus ing and instructive" chestnut his praises will never be counted worth a nickel ; He doesn't find fault to injure anyone's reputation but to protect his own. White was completely sur prised on the 8th instant , when a party of his neighbors with well rilled baskets arrived at his home and informed him that they had come to celebrate his 47th birthday. A party was given at the home of George Fowler by 'JPhomas to his young friends on the eve of his departure for McCook , where he will enter the employment of the McMillen Brothers , as a harness maker. We not care to enter into any jangle with the correspondent from Cedar Bluffs in regard to the name of one of our school houses , and will simply say that the pioneer records of school district No. 35 are still in preservation , and that we will take pleasure in producing them if so desired. It is situated back of and very close to 1 [ the bladder , therefore any pain , disease or in- H ' convenience manifested in the kidneys , back , H j bladder or urinary passage is often , by mistake - H take , attributed to female weakness or womb j H trouble of some sort. The error is easily made H and may be as easily avoided. To find out H ! correctly , set your urine aside for twenty-four H j hours ; a sediment or settling indicates kidney Her or bladder trouble.
