Votes cast in the late city election were officially canvassed , and the result declared as found in Tribune's report of two weeks ago. Old board then ad journed. The new council then came to order. All present. Bond of citj' clerk approved. The new officers were duly sworn into office. Report of chief of police was read and ordered filed. Applications of J. H. Bennett and W. M. Lewis for licenses to run billiard halls were granted. The mayor appointed Ed. D. Jordan chief of police for ensuing year. Adjourned to meet April 19th.
