They do so on the theoi H that it is a business propositic H for the roadp , and that it will i H the same time afford Nebraska fa : h mers some relief. Burning cor B cuts . the roads out of hauling cor 1 out or coal in. | The Indianola Reporter pre H tends to believe that a ticket none B inated by Republicans in a mas H convention at Indianola could b HJ elected. If success- VAVfl ful they will strike a strong blow H against the unnecessarily expen- H sive township organization system H now in vogue in many countieE H where the commissioner system LmM could be better. VAH The Tribune is not surprised or kWW disappointed that the jimcrow VAVa sheets over the state of Nebraska H are a practical unit for the repeal kWm of the law defining a legal news- M M paper. Rogues have not yet LtM learned to feel the drawings of the fl rope and at the same time entertain LwW high opinions of the law. Nebras- j ka is already overburdened with H [ the cheapjohn , guttersnipe variety HL of newspapers. The people may ffl well be protected against the fool kmw that rushes in where angels fear to B tread. Reputable , praiseworthy 1 newspapers may properly be pro- 1 tected from the machete of' the m M newspaper highbinder " and free- 1 booter that but preys upon legiti- P H mate trade. It is as much the in- H terest of the people as it is advan- H tageous to the established craft H that the newpapers be put in leash. H FAIRVIEW. Wales brought out a loac ) coal for the school house , Sat. lrday. On last Sabbath , at the Coleman chool house , a library association vas formed to be conducted in ounectiou with the Sabbath school .t that point. Its object is to fur- lish its members with the best of eading at small cost. There will le mare to say about it next week. As a corn busker , we have a boy hat is hard to beat , up here. Last all he went down the valley to lick a little corn , and thus earn a ew dollars. In fifty-six days he msked and cribbed 4,000 bushels , n average of over 73 bushels per ay. His name is Wm. Prentice , nd he will be a famous corn husker 'hen he gets his growth. The friends in the neighborhood f the Coleman school house have ad a long fight with the regular- r ordained , constitutionally com- tissioned and appointed ecclesias- cal cyclone , who authoritatively eclared that the organization of a [ ethodist class at the above spec- ied school house would never be lowed or tolerated on any condi- ons. These people were nearly 1 Methodists , and being Ameri- m citizens , such dictations saved - : ed so strongly of British tyran- y as to become offensively intol- able. So they finally secured a ongregational clergyman who inistered to them in holy things , hey have organized a Methodist ass with eighteen members now , id others will join first opportu- ty. The class met first on last ibbath , at 11 a. m. In the fut- : e they will meet every other ibbath at 11 a. m. This point is been annexed to Box Elder large and made a regular appoint- ent with preaching every two seks. God was on our side and ive us the victory. Box Elder's scribe has invited a few his bosom friends to his domicile , tl evening , and as novelists say , more ant Uncle Billy Johnson will retire frc the management of the farm and t boys will endeavor to keep the old sli sailing. Josie Werner and Lulu Kinghoru wer ileasant callers during the week , solicit ng in behalf of the coming chickei sast at Box Elder , which from this dis ance promises to be a gala affair. The present foggy weather is a ven esirable change and seems to be an in ication of coming moisture that woul < reatly benefit fall grain and be a gooc tarter for spring wheat.
